Muscat, Oman :: Logos Hope returns to Oman for the third time.
On the 13th of July 2023, Logos Hope entered the port of Muscat, with its spectacular setting, for her third visit. Captain Ionut Vlad (Romania) described the arrival as “amazing” due to the wind dying down, allowing the ship to come into port smoothly and a lot quicker than anticipated. Her crew are ready to welcome the people of Muscat up the gangways and are eager to experience Omani culture as they serve the local people.
Master of Ceremonies for the official opening event, Colin (USA), said, “Oman is very dear to my heart. It is the first place that I tried camel meat, which I loved. It was also the first time I celebrated Eid Al Adha. In my opinion, Oman might just be the most beautiful country in the world. But more than the beautiful sights and scenery, but also wonderful people who value generosity, hospitality and peace. We, as Logos Hope’s crew, are excited to be here and to get to know you.”
Captain Vlad said, “I’d like to welcome you and thank you for the support of everyone who participated in bringing the ship safely into Muscat. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the help of the local pilot, tugboat and linesmen. So, it’s always teamwork. Living in a diverse community means encountering diverse challenges, but also diverse perspectives and solutions, which bring growth. We are looking forward to experiencing Oman as we invite the people of Oman to experience Logos Hope and the cultures on board.”
The guest of honour, Captain Amur Abdullah Rashid Al Hoqani from the Harbour and Marine Services, responded, saying, “Welcome to you all this evening. I would like to welcome the ship, Logos Hope, and her floating bookfair to Oman. I am happy that the ship has arrived to graciously bring kindness and goodness to us. We are touched by your kindness and we are honoured to host you during your time here. I hope that all your activities go well.”
Logos Hope’s crew look forward to building relationships with the people of Oman during her stay.
